Jan 2011 Faves!

Can you believe the month is almost over, the snow is upon us (or at least me) I will have to take pictures of all the snow we just got dropped on us. For most of this month I wasn't in school, due to 3 weeks of semester exams. I had lots of time to spend with my family, now having to go back Wednesday, I am not feeling good. I personally wanna stay out of school, but hey only a year and a half to go! Anyway here is what I've been loving through out this month:

Bare Escentuals bare minerals SPF 15 Powder (original) is a foundation I tried back when I was younger, it is perfect for a airbrushed look most of the time. It takes a lot of work with concealer and doesn't always stay matte. Its the only foundation I have found that matches my skin perfectly so that why I love it. I'm not in love with the way this product works, but its color.

Almay Eyeliner in black is my go to liner, its the perfect black for my eyes, its blendable, and stays put with the two faced shadow insurance for the entire day. I use it almost ever single day because I love to rim my eye with black liner for everyday.

Covergirls Smoothers Concealer has been on of my all time favorites. I love the smooth creamy texture, I find it melts into my skin. Its one of the only concealers that has a light enough shade to (not perfectly) hide my flaws as well as they can be. I give Covergirl credit for their color range in that aspect.

Mac Msf in "Comfort" is a nice bronzer/contour color. I use this to brighten up and tan my face in the mornings. I am so pale this is something that needs to be used as much I can without it looking face. This is pretty dark so I use a light hand. Not a huge fan of the shimmers. This was limited edition from the warm and cozy collection and the only places to get it would be CCO's, swap's, and ebay.

Blush: I don't have a favorite blush right now, I don't own many and the ones that I do are not great. Whats your favorite mac blush I should try?

Two Faced Shadow Insurance  is my go to primer. It keeps my eye shadows lasting long, so when I come home they are still like how I put them on that day. It keeps them from creasing and makes them brighter, instead of fading through the day. This is a must have for anyone with oily eyelids, or people who do a lot during the day and don't have time to touch up their eyeshadow. I use this for liner as well, who's all tried this and the urban decay one, which one did you like better?

Mac paintpot in Rubenesque is a pretty cold shimmer shade that works well for a wash of color every day. It goes on smooth and is blend able, but dries so it sticks and doesn't crease or fade all day.

Burts Bees Beeswax Lip balm w/o spf  I haven't been using lip products as I haven't been doing much makeup, staying home and being with family. What I have been putting on is this lip chap, it keeps my lips from chapping, which my lips are bad for. It also has a soothing quality because of the peppermint.

Nail Polish: I don't have a favorite right now, but if you have to make me pick one I would say Orly's Oh Cabanna Boy since I have had it on my nails for about 2 weeks or so. Its a bright pink that I used just on my tips. I have had many compliments so I would say this would be the color I would have to pick. Unfortunately I don't have a great pictures so check out google for some swatchs!

Hair Care: I don't do much to my hair, so I don't really ever have a favourite. I guess I'm gonna have to start doing more hair stuff in order to fill this.

Misc: I loving my pug lately, just seeing him everyday, it make me feel happy.

Finally I got this post done, it seems like every time I sat down to do this, blogger would have a spaz fit and wouldn't let me post it. So I'm so glad its done and ready!

What are your favorites for the month, what should I try? Comments are appreciated a lot!!!

  1. My faves for this month are, nail polish wet and wild bite the bullet (part of the regular line and very cheap), and zoya Allegra.
Face I also like bare escentuals for summer, but I recently snagged a free sample of the blush and brush that I absolutely adore :).
I will make a post about it soon ^-^.

  2. I dont think I haven seen the brand wet and wild here :/ I havent gotten into zoya but I should start checking them out.
I like the bare escentuals for winter and summer, mostly because of school. Im not a huge bare minerals fan as the blushes and eyeshadwows arent amazing enough to make me stop when I walk by. The brushes Im allergic to, I get itchy and have a rash cause Im allergic to natural hair.

Look forward to seeing it =)
